There’s a new way to trim your torso, abs and thighs in Toronto, thanks to a new product that recently gained Health Canada approval.

UltraShape is the newest health trend and it has just hit the streets of Yorkville. Available at DLK on Avenue Road, UltraShape claims to slim patients down in a non invasive, painless treatment.

A computerized tracking device using ultrasound technology “selectively breaks down fat cells” inside the body. Essentially, the same technology applied to blasting away kidney stones can now be used on your love-handles. Ultrashape claims each treatment reduces 2cms off a body’s contour, and if you go back, doctors say, expect to lose as much as six centimetres. So far, there are no side effects reported and no pain involved.

Treatment time ranges between 60 to 90 minutes depending on the size and number of target treatment areas. Following treatment, patients can immediately resume their daily routines.

The catch? Ultrashape isn’t cheap. Ranging from $800-$1000 per treatment, the 28 days Ultrashape recommends for a complete body contour redesign, will certainly slim down your wallet.
