DLK’s state-of-the-art Hand, Neck and Chest Rejuvenation Treatments stimulate collagen and restore lost volume while reducing and controlling dark pigment to reduce brown spots and help even skin tone.
Just like on your face, loss of skin volume is the main sign of aging in your hands, neck and chest. This results in a change in skin texture with bones, veins and tendons becoming more visible. If not maintained properly, these skin areas can be a direct indication of your age.
DLK’s Hand, Neck and Chest Treatments take place in a medically supervised clinic after a consultation. During the consultation, patients outline their specific skin concerns and goals and a customized treatment plan is developed to address these concerns ensuring each patient’s goals are met.
Hand Volume Restoration:
The treatment uses an injectable filler specifically for the hands that works by immediately restoring volume to smooth out the signs of aging. Once injected, it works with your body to stimulate the production of your own natural collagen. The treatment improves the appearance of the skin by minimizing lines, folds and restoring lost volume. Treatments take approximately 30 minutes and results are immediate. The injectable filler is formulated with a local anesthetic to ensure a gentle and comfortable injection experience.
Skinboosters Injectable treatment has been scientifically proven to improve skin smoothness and elasticity in the neck by increasing the hydration of the epidermis and dermis resulting in an improvement in the overall appearance of the skin. This treatment can be used in the neck, hands and face. Three treatments 2-4 weeks apart are recommended and can be combined with IPL in the same appointment for optimal results.
Using a unique injectable that helps prevent and correct the effects of cutaneous aging on the chest, this treatment acts to improve the skin’s ability to hold water – resulting in the reduction of fine lines. These treatments are based on the injections of small amounts of Hyaluronic Acid injected directly into the skin of the upper chest to improve hydration, radiance and the skin’s ability to reflect light, while restoring fullness and improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Three treatments 2-4 weeks apart are recommended and can be combined with IPL in the same appointment for optimal results.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Treatment:
During the treatment a hand piece with a cool tip is placed against the skin and the skin is treated with a brief pulse of light. The procedure takes 20-30 minutes and patients can return to regular activity immediately. DLK’s state-of-the-art Lumenis One IPL Technology stimulates collagen and targets dark pigment to reduce brown spots and even out skin tone.
Pico-Second Laser Treatment:
Is an effective and safe treatment and removal of pigmented lesions such as brown spots, age spots, freckles, and some birthmarks.
To understand how these treatments work, it helps to know a little about how your skin works. Over time, as your skin matures it begins to lose collagen structure resulting in loss of fullness and elasticity. When this occurs skin begins to thin and underlying pigment or redness appears. The result is that lines, brown spots, folds and crepiness occur. IPL penetrates all layers of the skin targeting blood vessels and reducing redness and pigmented lesions. Treatment fillers have the unique ability to immediately restore volume and stimulate your body to produce its own natural collagen for long-lasting results. Combined, these two treatments are a safe and effective treatment to improve the appearance of aging skin on the hands, neck and chest.
It is recommended to discontinue aspirin, aspirin-like products, non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, St. John’s Wort, high doses of Vitamin E, and alcohol for a few days before your treatment to minimize bruising and swelling.
Patients may require antiviral pills the night prior, and day of the treatment if they have a history of cold sores. This prescription will be given to you by Dr. Kellett. The skin cannot be tanned at the time of treatment as this can make the treatment less effective. SPF 30 daily is recommended. Patients should let us know if they are taking any new medications prior to treatment.
Injectable Treatment: Treated areas may be slightly swollen and red following the procedure and bruising can occur but these effects generally disappear within a few hours to a few days. In fact, most patients return to their normal, daily activities right after their visit depending on the nature of their problem. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled two-weeks after your treatment to ensure that the results are optimal.
IPL Treatment: After treatment the skin will be slightly pink to red which may last 1-2 hours. A sun block is applied to the skin prior to leaving the clinic as sun protection and avoidance helps to maintain good results. At home the skin is cleansed with a mild cleanser and you will be provided with product recommendations according to your individual skin care needs. It is possible to experience transient darkening of brown spots immediately after treatment which subsequently become flaky and disappear from the skin. Avoid Retin A or AHA products for 3-4 days after and 2-4 days prior to treatment. Makeup can be applied immediately after the treatment.
Injectable fillers results are typically immediate and will improve over 2 weeks. No injectable is 100% permanent and all will require repeat injections to maintain the desired effect. Most patients notice an improvement in their skin appearance right away. For long-lasting results and optimal treatment benefits, treatments can be scheduled every 6-12 months as the components found in injectable fillers offer prolonged compound benefits.
IPL treatments help restore a more youthful appearance without downtime or a prolonged recovery. For optimal results, it is recommended that a series of 3 Injectable filler and/or IPL treatments scheduled 2-4 weeks apart be administered followed maintenance treatments as directed.
